Message to Sardis

1 "To the angel of the church in Sardis R147 write:

He who has the R148 seven Spirits of God and the R149 seven stars, says this: `I R150 know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but F29 you are dead. R151 2 `Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God. 3 `So remember R152 what F30 you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. R152 Therefore if you do not wake up, I R152 will come like R153 a thief, and you will not know at what R154 hour I will come to you. 4 `But you have a few people R155 F31 in Sardis R156 who have not soiled R157 their garments; and they will walk with Me in R158 white, for they are worthy. 5 `He R159 who overcomes will thus be clothed in white R160 garments; and I will not erase R161 his name from the book of life, and I R162 will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 `He R163 who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

Message to Philadelphia

7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia R164 write:

He R165 who is holy, who R166 is true, who has the R167 key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this:

8 `I R168 know your deeds. F32 Behold, I have put before you an R169 open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have R170 not denied My name. 9 `Behold, I will F33 cause those of the R171 synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--I will make them come R172 and bow down at F34 your feet, and make them know that I R173 have loved you. 10 `Because you have kept R174 the word of My R175 perseverance, F35 I R176 also will keep you from the hour of testing, R177 F36 that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, R178 F37 to test F38 those R179 who dwell on the earth. 11 `I R180 am coming quickly; hold R181 fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown. R182 12 `He R183 who overcomes, I will make him a pillar R184 in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name R185 of My God, and the R186 name of the city of My God, the R187 new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new R188 name. 13 `He R189 who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'

Message to Laodicea

14 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea R190 write:

The R191 Amen, the R192 faithful and true Witness, the R193 Beginning F39 of the creation of God, says this:

15 `I R194 know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I R195 wish that you were cold or hot. 16 `So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit F40 you out of My mouth. 17 `Because you say, "I R196 am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, 18 I advise you to buy R197 from Me gold R198 refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white R199 garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the R200 shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 19 `Those R201 whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. R202 20 `Behold, I stand at R203 the door and knock; R204 if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I R205 will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. 21 `He R206 who overcomes, I will grant to him to R207 sit down with Me on My throne, as I R208 also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 `He R209 who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'
