7:7 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
What R302 shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May R303 it never be! On the contrary, I R304 would not have come to know sin except through F124 the Law; for I would not have known about coveting F125 if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."

7:10 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
and this commandment, which was to R309 F129 result in life, proved to F130 result in death for me;

7:11 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
for sin, taking R310 an opportunity through R311 the commandment, deceived R312 me and through it killed me.

7:12 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
So R313 then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

7:13 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? May R314 it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.

7:14 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
For we know that the Law is spiritual, R315 but I am of R315 flesh, sold R316 into R317 F131 bondage to sin.

7:15 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
For what I am doing, I R318 do not understand; for I am not practicing what R319 I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.

7:16 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the R320 Law, confessing that the Law is good.

7:17 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
So now, no R321 longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

7:18 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; R322 for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.

7:19 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
For the R323 good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.

7:20 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I R324 am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

7:21 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
I find then the R325 principle F132 that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.

7:22 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
For I joyfully concur with the law of God in F133 the R326 inner man,

7:23 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
but I see a R327 different law in the F134 members of my body, waging war against the law R328 of my mind and making me a prisoner of F135 the R329 law of sin which is in my members.

7:24 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the R330 F136 body of this death? R331

7:25 - In Context | Read Chapter | Discuss this Verse ]
[ Original: Greek | Multi-Translation ]
Thanks R332 be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the R333 law of sin.
