Godly Living

1 Remind R88 them to R89 be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready R90 for every good deed, 2 to malign no one, to R91 be peaceable, gentle, R91 showing R92 every consideration for all men. 3 For R93 we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, R94 deceived, R95 enslaved R96 to various R97 lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice R98 and envy, R98 hateful, hating one another. 4 But when the kindness R99 of God R100 our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, R101 5 He R102 saved us, not R103 on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according R104 to His mercy, by the washing R105 of regeneration and renewing R106 by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom R107 He poured out upon us richly R108 through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs R109 according F14 to the hope of eternal life. 8 This R110 is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want R111 you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed R112 God will be careful to engage R113 in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. 9 But avoid R114 foolish R115 controversies and genealogies R116 and strife and disputes R117 about the Law, for they are unprofitable R118 and worthless. 10 Reject R119 a factious R120 man after R121 a first and second warning, 11 knowing that such a man is perverted R122 and is sinning, being self-condemned.

Personal Concerns

12 When I send Artemas or Tychicus R123 to you, make R124 every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend R125 the winter there. 13 Diligently help Zenas the lawyer R126 and Apollos R127 on their way so that nothing is lacking for them. 14 Our R128 people must also learn to engage R129 in good deeds F15 to meet pressing R130 needs, so that they will not be unfruitful. R131

15 All R132 who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in R133 the faith.

Grace R134 be with you all.
