[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 Then the R86 angel who was speaking with me returned and roused R87 me, as a man who is awakened from his sleep. 2 He said to me, "What R88 do you see?" And I said, "I see, and behold, a lampstand R89 all of gold with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven R90 lamps on it with seven spouts belonging to each of the lamps which are on the top of it; 3 also two R91 olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl and the other on its left side." 4 Then I said to the angel who was speaking with me saying, "What are these, my R92 lord?" 5 So the R93 angel who was speaking with me answered and said to me, "Do R94 you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord." 6 Then he said F19 to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel R95 saying, `Not R96 by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' R97 says the LORD of hosts. 7 `What are you, O great mountain? R98 Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts R99 of "Grace, grace to it!""' 8 Also the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 9 "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid R100 the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish R101 it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. F20 10 "For who has despised the day of small R102 things? But F21 these seven R103 will be glad when they see the plumb R104 F22 line in the hand of Zerubbabel--these are the eyes R105 of the LORD which range R106 to and fro throughout the earth."

F19 Lit said to me, saying
F20 Lit you (plural)
