(uh hi' luhd) Personal name meaning, “a brother is born.” The father of Jehoshaphat, David's court recorder (2 Samuel 8:16), who retained the position under Solomon (1 Kings 4:3). Probably the same Ahilud was father of Baana, Solomon's official to get court provisions from the province around Taanach, Megiddo, and Beth-shean (1 Kings 4:12).
