(uh hi' tuhb) Personal name meaning, “my brother is good.” 1. Priest, son of Phinehas and grandson of Eli ministering in Shiloh (1 Samuel 14:3). He was Ahimelech's father (1 Samuel 22:9). 2. Father of Zadok, the high priest under David and Solomon (2 Samuel 8:17). The name occurs twice in the Chronicler's list of priests (1 Chronicles 6:7-8,
1 Chronicles 6:11-12,
1 Chronicles 6:52). Compare
