Hebrew - Jerimoth
JERIMOTH

(jehr' ih mahth) Personal name possibly meaning, “fat belly.” The name closely resembles Jeremoth, so that English translations are not consistent in following the Hebrew in spelling. The following represent spellings of the Hebrew text. See Jeremoth. 1. Member of tribe of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 7:7). 2. Warrior of Saul's tribe Benjamin who joined David as he fled from Saul at Ziklag (1 Chronicles 12:5). 3. Levite of the house of Mushi (1 Chronicles 24:30; compare 1 Chronicles 23:23). 4. Temple musician under David and Solomon (1 Chronicles 25:4; compare 1 Chronicles 25:22). 5. Leader of tribe of Naphtali under David (1 Chronicles 27:19). 6. Son of David, whose daughter married King Rehoboam (931-913 B.C.), according to 2 Chronicles 11:18. Jerimoth does not appear in any list of David's sons. 7. An overseer of Temple treasury under Hezekiah (2 Chronicles 31:13).
