A condition that disqualifies an animal as a sacrifice (Leviticus 22:17-25) or a man from priestly service (Leviticus 21:17-24). In the New Testament, Christ is the perfect sacrifice (without blemish,
1 Peter 1:19) intended to sanctify the church and remove all its blemishes (Ephesians 5:27). The children of God are commanded to live lives without blemishes (Philippians 2:15;
2 Peter 3:14).
