Galatians 5:13-26 [ Verse 19 in Original: Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
13 For you were called to freedom, R222 brethren; only R223 do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve R224 one another. 14 For the R225 whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." 15 But if you bite R227 and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another. 16 But I say, walk R228 by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the R229 desire of the flesh. 17 For the R230 flesh sets F99 its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so R231 that you may not do the things that you please. F100 18 But if you are led R232 by the Spirit, you R233 are not under the Law. 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, R234 F101 impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, R235 enmities, strife, R236 jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, R237 dissensions, factions, R238 F102 21 envying, drunkenness, R239 carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit R240 the kingdom of God. 22 But the R241 fruit of the Spirit is love, R242 joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; R243 against such things there R244 is no law. 24 Now those who belong F103 to Christ R245 Jesus have crucified R246 the flesh with its passions and desires. R247 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk F104 by R248 the Spirit. 26 Let us not become boastful, R249 challenging one another, envying one another.

F99 Lit lusts against
F100 Lit wish
F101 I.e. sexual immorality
F102 Or heresies
F103 Lit are of Christ Jesus
