Isaiah 49:18-23 [ Verse 23 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
18 "Lift R2038 up your eyes and look around; All R2039 of them gather together, they R2040 come to you. As R2041 I live," declares the LORD, "You will surely put R2042 on all of them as jewels F708 and bind them on as a bride. 19 "For your R2043 waste and desolate places and your destroyed land-- Surely now you will be too R2044 cramped for the inhabitants, And those who swallowed R2045 you will be far away. 20 "The children R2046 of whom F709 you were bereaved will yet say in your ears, `The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here.' 21 "Then you will say R2047 in your heart, `Who has begotten these for me, Since I have been bereaved of my children And am barren, R2048 an exile R2049 and a wanderer? And who has reared these? Behold, I was left R2050 alone; From R2051 F710 where did these come?' " 22 Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations And set up My standard R2052 to the peoples; And they will bring R2053 your sons in their bosom, And your daughters will be carried on their shoulders. 23 "Kings R2054 will be your guardians, And their princesses your nurses. They will bow R2055 down to you with their faces to the earth And lick R2056 the dust of your feet; And you will know R2057 that I am the LORD; Those who hopefully wait R2058 for Me will not R2059 be put to shame.
