Rewards for Obedience to God
1 Thus says the LORD,
"Preserve R2306 justice and do righteousness,
For My salvation R2307 is about to come
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 "How blessed R2308 is the man who does this,
And the son of man who takes R2309 hold of it;
Who keeps R2310 from profaning the sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil."
3 Let not the foreigner R2311 who has joined himself to the LORD say,
"The LORD will surely separate me from His people."
Nor let the eunuch R2312 say, "Behold, I am a dry tree." 4 For thus says the LORD,
"To the eunuchs who keep R2313 My sabbaths,
And choose what pleases Me,
And hold R2314 fast My covenant,
5 To them I will give in My house R2315 and within My walls R2316 a memorial,
And a name better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them F770 an everlasting name R2317 which will R2318 not be cut off.
6 "Also the foreigners R2319 who join themselves to the LORD,
To minister to Him, and to love the name of the LORD,
To be His servants, every one who keeps R2320 from profaning the sabbath
And holds fast My covenant;
7 Even those R2321 I will bring to My holy R2322 mountain
And make R2323 them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My R2324 altar;
For My R2325 house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples."
8 The Lord GOD F771 , who gathers R2326 the dispersed of Israel, declares,
"Yet others R2327 I will gather to them, F772 to those already gathered."
9 All you beasts R2328 of the field,
All you beasts in the forest,
Come to eat.
10 His watchmen R2329 are blind, R2330
All of them know nothing.
All of them are mute dogs unable to bark,
Dreamers F773 lying down, who love to slumber;
11 And the dogs are greedy, R2331 F774 they are F775 not satisfied.
And they are shepherds who have no R2332 understanding;
They have all turned R2333 to their own way,
Each one to his unjust gain, to the last one.
12 "Come," they say, "let us F776 get wine, R2334 and let us drink heavily of strong drink;
And tomorrow R2335 will be like today, only more so."
