Job Rebukes Bildad

1 Then Job responded, F282

2 "What a help you are to the R696 F283 weak!

How you have saved the arm without R697 strength!

3 "What counsel you have given to one without wisdom!

What helpful insight you have abundantly provided! F284

4 "To whom have you uttered words?

And whose spirit F285 was expressed through you?

The Greatness of God

5 "The departed R698 F286 spirits tremble

Under the waters and their inhabitants.

6 "Naked is Sheol R699 F287 before Him,

And Abaddon R700 F288 has no covering.

7 "He stretches R701 out the north over empty space

And hangs the earth on nothing.

8 "He wraps R702 up the waters in His clouds,

And the cloud does not burst under them.

9 "He obscures R703 F289 the face of the full F290 moon

And spreads His cloud over it.

10 "He has inscribed a circle R704 on the surface of the waters

At the boundary R705 of light and darkness.

11 "The pillars of heaven tremble

And are amazed at His rebuke.

12 "He quieted R706 the sea with His power,

And by His understanding R707 He shattered Rahab. R708

13 "By His breath the heavens R709 are cleared; F291

His hand has pierced the R710 fleeing serpent.

14 "Behold, these are the fringes of His ways;

And how faint a R711 word we hear of Him!

But His mighty thunder, R712 who can understand?"
