Leviticus 20:1-9 [ Verse 2 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 And the LORD spake (8762) unto Moses, saying (8800), 2 Again, thou shalt say (8799) to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn (8802) in Israel, that giveth (8799) any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely (8800) be put to death (8714): the people of the land shall stone (8799) him with stones. 3 And I will set (8799) my face against that man, and will cut him off (8689) from among his people; because he hath given (8804) of his seed unto Molech, to defile (8763) my sanctuary, and to profane (8763) my holy name. 4 And if the people of the land do any ways (8687) hide (8686) their eyes from the man, when he giveth (8800) of his seed unto Molech, and kill (8687) him not: 5 Then I will set (8804) my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off (8689), and all that go a whoring (8802) after him, to commit whoredom (8800) with Molech, from among their people. 6 And the soul that turneth (8799) after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring (8800) after them, I will even set (8804) my face against that soul, and will cut him off (8689) from among his people. 7 Sanctify (8694) yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. 8 And ye shall keep (8804) my statutes, and do (8804) them: I am the LORD which sanctify (8764) you. 9 For every one that curseth (8762) his father or his mother shall be surely (8800) put to death (8714): he hath cursed (8765) his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
