[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
24 And Moses went out (8799), and told (8762) the people the words of the LORD, and gathered (8799) the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set (8686) them round about the tabernacle. 25 And the LORD came down (8799) in a cloud, and spake (8762) unto him, and took (8686) of the spirit that was upon him, and gave (8799) it unto the seventy elders *: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested (8800) upon them, they prophesied (8691), and did not cease (8804). 26 But there remained (8735) two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested (8799) upon them; and they were of them that were written (8803), but went not out (8804) unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied (8691) in the camp. 27 And there ran (8799) a young man, and told (8686) Moses, and said (8799), Eldad and Medad do prophesy (8693) in the camp. 28 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant (8764) of Moses, one of his young men, answered (8799) and said (8799), My lord Moses, forbid (8798) them. 29 And Moses said (8799) unto him, Enviest (8764) thou for my sake? would God that all the (8799) LORD'S people were prophets, and that the LORD would put (8799) his spirit upon them! 30 And Moses gat (8735) him into the camp, he and the elders of Israel.
