Think of Excellence

1 Therefore, my beloved brethren whom F53 I long R172 to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand R173 firm in the Lord, my beloved.

2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live R174 F54 in harmony in the Lord. 3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow R175 workers, whose names R176 are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice R177 in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The R178 Lord is near. F55 6 Be R179 anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer R180 and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the R181 peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, F56 will guard R182 your hearts and your minds R183 in Christ R184 Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever R185 is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, F57 whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell F58 on these things. 9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in R186 me, practice these things, and the R187 God of peace will be with you.

God's Provisions

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you R188 have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak from F59 want, for I have learned to be content R189 F60 in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, R190 both of having abundance and suffering R191 need. 13 I can do all things through F61 Him who strengthens R192 me. 14 Nevertheless, you have done well to share R193 with me in my affliction.

15 You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first R194 F62 preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, R195 no church shared R196 with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; 16 for even in Thessalonica R197 you sent a gift more than once for my needs. 17 Not R198 that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit F63 which increases to your account. 18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply F64 supplied, having received from Epaphroditus R199 what F65 you have sent, a R200 F66 fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. 19 And my R201 God will supply all F67 your needs according to His riches R202 in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our R203 God and Father be R204 the glory forever F68 and ever. Amen.

21 Greet every saint F69 in Christ Jesus. The R205 brethren who are with me greet you. 22 All R206 the saints R207 F70 greet you, especially those of Caesar's household.

23 The R208 grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be R209 with your spirit.
