Psalm 40:1-5 [ Verse 3 in Original: Hebrew / Greek ]
[ Read Chapter | Discuss these Verses ]
1 I waited R1216 patiently F354 for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard R1217 my cry. 2 He brought me up out of the pit R1218 of destruction, out of the miry F355 clay, And He R1219 set my feet upon a rock making R1220 my footsteps firm. 3 He put a new R1221 song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see R1222 and fear And will trust in the LORD. 4 How blessed R1223 is the man who has made the LORD his trust, And has R1224 not turned F356 to the proud, nor to those who lapse R1225 into falsehood. 5 Many, O LORD my God, are the R1226 wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts R1227 toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would R1228 be too numerous to count.
