The Thirsting Soul Satisfied in God.

A Psalm of David, when F592 he was in the wilderness of Judah.

1 O God, You R1839 are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; F593

My soul thirsts R1840 for You, my flesh yearns F594 for You,

In a dry R1841 and weary land where there is no water.

2 Thus I have seen R1842 You in the sanctuary,

To see Your power and Your glory.

3 Because Your lovingkindness R1843 is better than life,

My lips will praise You.

4 So I will bless You as R1844 long as I live;

I will lift R1845 up my hands in Your name.

5 My soul is satisfied R1846 as with marrow F595 and fatness,

And my mouth offers praises R1847 with joyful lips.

6 When I remember You on R1848 my bed,

I meditate on You in the night R1849 watches,

7 For You R1850 have been my help,

And in the shadow R1851 of Your wings I sing for joy.

8 My soul clings R1852 to F596 You;

Your right R1853 hand upholds me.

9 But those who seek R1854 my life F597 to destroy it,

Will go into the depths R1855 F598 of the earth.

10 They F599 will be delivered R1856 F600 over to the power of the sword;

They will be a prey R1857 F601 for foxes.

11 But the king R1858 will rejoice in God;

Everyone who swears R1859 by Him will glory,

For the mouths R1860 of those who speak lies will be stopped.
