A Psalm of Supplication and Trust.
A Prayer of David.
1 Incline R2685 Your ear, O LORD, and answer me;
For I am afflicted R2686 and needy.
2 Preserve R2687 my soul, F921 for I am a godly R2688 man;
O You my God, save Your servant who trusts R2689 in You.
3 Be gracious R2690 to me, O Lord,
For to R2691 You I cry all day long.
4 Make glad the soul of Your servant,
For to You, O Lord, I R2692 lift up my soul.
5 For You, Lord, are good, R2693 and ready R2694 to forgive,
And abundant R2695 in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.
6 Give R2696 ear, O LORD, to my prayer;
And give heed to the voice of my supplications!
7 In the R2697 day of my trouble I shall call upon You,
For You R2698 will answer me.
8 There is no R2699 one like You among the gods, O Lord,
Nor are there any works like R2700 Yours.
9 All R2701 nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,
And they shall glorify Your name.
10 For You are great R2702 and do R2703 wondrous F922 deeds;
You alone are R2704 God.
11 Teach R2705 me Your way, O LORD;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite R2706 my heart to fear Your name.
12 I will give R2707 thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
And will glorify Your name forever.
13 For Your lovingkindness toward me is great,
And You have delivered R2708 my soul from the depths F923 of Sheol. F924
14 O God, arrogant men have risen R2709 up against me,
And a F925 band of violent men have sought my life, F926
And they have not set You before them.
15 But You, O Lord, are a God merciful R2710 and gracious,
Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth. F927
16 Turn R2711 to me, and be gracious to me;
Oh grant R2712 Your strength to Your servant,
And save the son R2713 of Your handmaid.
17 Show R2714 me a sign for good,
That those who hate me may see R2715 it and be ashamed,
Because You, O LORD, have R2716 helped me and comforted me.
