Security of the One Who Trusts in the LORD.

1 He who dwells in the shelter R2895 of the Most High

Will abide in the shadow R2896 of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge R2897 and my fortress, R2898

My God, in whom I trust!" R2899

3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare R2900 of the trapper

And from the deadly pestilence. R2901

4 He will cover R2902 you with His pinions,

And under R2903 His wings you may seek refuge;

His faithfulness R2904 is a shield R2905 and bulwark.

5 You will R2906 not be afraid of the terror R2907 by night,

Or of the arrow R2908 that flies by day;

6 Of the pestilence R2909 that stalks F994 in darkness,

Or of the destruction R2910 that lays waste at noon.

7 A thousand may fall at your side

And ten thousand at your right hand,

But it R2911 shall not approach you.

8 You will only look on with your eyes

And see R2912 the recompense of the wicked.

9 For F995 you have made the LORD, my R2913 refuge,

Even the Most High, your R2914 dwelling place.

10 No R2915 evil will befall you,

Nor will any plague come near your tent. F996

11 For He will give His R2916 angels charge concerning you,

To guard you in all your ways.

12 They will bear R2917 you up in their hands,

That you do not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread R2918 upon the lion and cobra,

The young lion and the serpent F997 you will trample down.

14 "Because R2919 he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;

I will set R2920 him securely on high, because he has known R2921 My name.

15 "He will call R2922 upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble; F998

I will rescue him and honor R2923 him.

16 "With a F999 long R2924 life I will satisfy him

And let R2925 F1000 him see My salvation."
